Description
Here is a set of 110 vintage print cut pieces in the Charm pattern, #185 in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman. Pattern is classified as a One Patch With Curves. It is also known as Double Ax or Apple Core. This is a Kansas City Star pattern printed in 1933.Each of the fabric pieces measures approximately 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". These are vintage cotton prints from around the 1940s era. There are duplicates.
Also included is a stack of cut pink charm shapes and pink leaf shapes. Plus there is an approximately three yard x 36" wide piece of the matching pink to make more charms.
In addition, some of the charms have already been sewn together as shown in the photos. This piece is hand stitched and measures about 18" at the widest point x 84" at the longest point.
Item does not include any backing fabric, binding or batting for the top. All of the cut print pieces are shown in the collage photo with the exception of the two shown with the pink charms. Please note, there are more pink charms cut than just the four shown in the photo.
When working with vintage fabric, blocks, tops or quilts, prior quilting and piecing experience is helpful. Pieces were not rotary cut and cutting templates and patterns may not have been square. Pieced items may not be flat. Vintage items may have a musty or storage odor.
