    Description

    Please notice this is just a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt, as there is no batting or backing underneath the pieced fabrics seen in the photos.
    The petals of the tulips were made with feed sacks: the feed sack used for any particular tulip does not appear in any other tulip; the makers used 20 different feed sacks when puttinng this together.
    All the sewing in the appliques was done by hand; the sewing of the appliques to the brown fabric was done using a rather thick green thread that give the quilt top a certain "rusticity" but it seems to us it was done intentionally.
    It measures 89" by 75" across; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
