  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Features: Antique/Vintage
  • Condition: The setting was not done perfectly and it is very difficult to set the top flat on a surface: this is observable on pic # 2, taken by us at a steep angle, so you can see how the surface is wavy; we are not sure how important will be this situation for a quilter who would be enganged in making this into a quilt with a flat surface. Besides that, the only flaws found are tiny busted seams that are easy to fix; we found 10 of those short-track bad seams, nothing major (one of those tiny bad seams is visible on pic # 11). We found no stains or ripped swatches, and this has no odors.

    Description

It measures 86" b 69" across including the borders. The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
The piecing was done by hand (see pic # 12).
The fabrics are a mix of feed sacks (only a handful of them) with old cottons that we think were made in the 60's and 70's.
Some of the fabrics have "novelty" prints.
We are not sure how to call this pattenr: the makers organized smaller triangles into elongated hexagonal shapes, and the filled the gaps with larger triangles made with a blue "cloudy" cotton, or one with stripes, or one with diamonds: you can see those larger triangles in several of the close-ups posted.
