fun Collection of 17
Vintage Scrappy blocks in a
mostly Crazy Quilt Design
There are 9 single blocks and a long strip of 8 more blocks sewn together
Also included is a pile of vintage scrap fabric to make more if you would like. The  scrap was in the same box and together with the blocks.
From the looks of the fabrics, I am thinking it is 60s or 70s era.
Blocks measure 8.5"-9"
Because not only are the fabrics scrappy but the width of strips varied, they can all be evened up to the smallest size block
So much can be done with these blocks and scraps.  They can be just sewn together to make a nice size throw quilt or can be sashed with corner stones to make the quilt larger. Or how about adding solid squares to make the quilt even bigger.
The first step is just getting them home so you can let your creative juices flow.
There was no planning in the colors or placement which makes it even more special. Also there are different weight and textures used, from on the sheer side to heavier, to even some pretty seersucker. There are calicos, checks, bright flowers of the 70s and dots, along with novelty and even a couple holiday fabrics. The seamstress, definately used what she had. The blocks are all pieced using a light weight foundation using the sew and flip over method, which makes the blocks more sturdy and stable.
